In June, The Lounge will be offering an early summer marriage-themed afternoon tea where each dish showcases the harmony of various ingredients.
A savory foie gras and noble wine is served on a bed of pain d'épices with sweet sauternes jelly, raisins, and edible flowers. The sweet sauce and acidity of the wine brings out the harmony of this dish for a flavorful finish. The mini chocolate cupcakes are made with homemade plum jam and baked with chocolate batter for a moist finish. It is a perfect marriage of sour and sweet, Japanese and Western. The Earl Grey jelly dish is the ultimate combination of sweets. Earl Grey jelly when enjoyed with mango confit has a refreshing taste like mango tea, and when paired with Earl Grey mousse, it has a mellow and rich milk tea taste.
