The events will take place at the private room 'Kitchen Table' of the hotel's main restaurant, The Tavern - Grill & Lounge, located on the 51st floor. This exquisite gastronomic experience promises to captivate connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike as renowned chefs from across the globe are invited as special guests showcasing a specially curated menu, making it a must-attend for those with discerning palates.

Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, known for curating creative and unique experiences, will launch the third chapter of the gourmet experience series 'The Tavern Secret Kitchen' from Wednesday 8th to Sunday 12th May, 2024. Inspired by the spirit of 'ichi-go ichi-e', a cultural concept of treasuring the unrepeatable nature of a moment, the series is limited to 14 guests per evening.

■ ABOUT THE EVENT: The Tavern Secret Kitchen by Alexis Moko

Chef Alexis Moko, chef de cuisine and owner of MOKO, a modern French restaurant in Kyoto, that has been awarded one star in the Michelin Guide Kyoto Osaka 2024, will offer a seven-course menu where all guests can feel his passion for cuisine and spirit of exploration with all five senses.

■ ALEXIS MOKO PROFILE
Born in 1987 in Versailles, France. Developed an interest in cooking at a young age and decided to become a chef.  Moved to the UK at the age of 10 and started working as a chef at the age of 16.   He then returned to France and spent seven years working under Chef Alain Solivères at the two-star Taillevent restaurant in Paris. He also returned to the UK and worked for about 18 months at the three Michelin star modern cuisine restaurant The Ledbury in Notting Hill, London. He then worked under three Michelin starred chef Eric Fléchon as Head Chef at the London restaurant of England's leading luxury hotel, The Lanesborough, where he was awarded a Michelin star in his first year. Later, as Executive Sous Chef at the five-star Connaught Hotel in London, UK, he was involved in the opening of the luxury French restaurant Jean-Georges at the Connaught, where he was Director of Food and Beverage throughout. He moved to Japan in 2019. After working in various restaurants, he opened the modern French restaurant MOKO in a 100-year-old machiya (traditional Kyoto house) in Kyoto on 21 May 2023. In 2024, MOKO was awarded one Michelin star.
