Andaz Tokyo welcomes guests back with strengthened hygiene measures to further enhance the safety and peace of mind of our guests and colleagues, guided by Hyatt’s “Caring for Your Wellbeing”.
We are pleased to announce that Andaz Tokyo has acquired GBAC STAR™ accreditation, certifying that our facilities meet the strict international safety and hygiene standards set by The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC). The health and safety of our guests and colleagues is our top priority, and we will continue to take thorough measures to ensure guests are welcomed to Andaz Tokyo safely and with peace of mind.
<What is GBAC STAR™ Certification?>
The GBAC STAR Accreditation Program, developed by The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), is a performance-based program designed to help facilities establish a comprehensive system of cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention for their staff and their building. The program relies on GBAC’s comprehensive training, which teaches the proper protocols, correct disinfection techniques, and cleaning best practices for biohazard situations like the novel coronavirus. Successful GBAC STAR facilities are able to demonstrate that correct work practices, procedures and systems are in place to prepare, respond, and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.
Following Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment, we have assigned trained hygiene & wellbeing leaders, responsible for ensuring that new operational protocols and training are adhered to at our hotel. In addition, we consult with a cross-functional panel of trusted medical and industry advisors to help us fine-tune safety protocols and consider various aspects of the entire hotel experience.
